Samantha at Swift Commercial Division Recruitment are proud to be representing a wonderful organisation based in Wakefield who are seeking a Full Time Administrator on a temporary basis.
Are you self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised, proactive, obtain excellent administration skills and minute taking experience, and are looking for part time hours. If so, we may just have the perfect role and would love to hear from you.
The successful postholder will provide high quality, accurate and timely administrative support to the Resettlement Team their implementation of the Government’s resettlement schemes and the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Visa Holders. You will be involved in all aspects of resettlement activity and will provide dedicated support to the Accommodation Officer (Refugees), working closely on the administrative tasks associated with securing properties and ensuring these are fit for purpose.
**Duties would include, but it not limited to: -**
- Act as first point of contact for newly arrived refugees through the Afghan Resettlement Scheme and UK Resettlement Scheme.
- Supporting with housing needs and complaints
- Working with partners to ensure consistent service
- Keep all records up to date and compile reports for external partners and senior management within Wakefield Council
- Support the resettlement manager in day-to-day tasks
- Purchasing items and school uniforms
- Work alongside the integration services within Wakefield Council.
This position is office based two days a week, working from home two days and on site at the local drop in venue within Wakefield.
**Experience & Skills Required**
- Understanding the principles of data protection, confidentiality and information security and working in an environment dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Knowledge of the Council’s Policies and Procedures relating to the role e.g., Health & Safety and Equal opportunities, Council’s Customer Care Standards.
- Good understanding of a range of business administration systems and procedures.
- .Knowledge of IT systems required for the role e.g., Microsoft Office programmes or other equivalent systems.
- Ability to work as part of a team, plus on your own initiative.
- Confidently communicate with staff from various levels, partners and with the public.
- Experience of taking minutes.
Pay Rate: £11.18 per hour
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm
This is a Temporary role that is expected for the duration of three months, however, the assignment may have the potential for further extension.
