Widening Participation Administrator

The Widening Participation Administrator is central to the Apprenticeship programme administration activities of NUH. Widening Participation involves engaging with local people who may not consider employment in the NHS, to provide guidance on all of the opportunities that NUH as an employer provides. An especially important activity is the engagement of local people from diverse backgrounds.
This supports our aspirations to be an employer of choice, to further promote our Anchor Organisation status.
The post holder will deal with all administration regarding Apprenticeships, such as starts, contracting, tracking Apprentices, liaising with training providers; and providing information on our wide range of Apprenticeship opportunities to colleagues and at events in our local community.
The post holder will collect and collate data, and provide this information in accessible and engaging formats to showcase our work and provide information within the organisation on meeting out targets and objectives.

Maintain data systems and produce documents/reports/spreadsheets as directed.
Confidently use internal and external data systems as required.
Request information from other departments and from colleagues across the local health and social care community.
Carry out delegated tasks, evaluating different approaches and selecting the most appropriate format.
Proficiently use Microsoft outlook, excel, word and publisher.
Attend and contribute in team meetings and provide any updates required.
Maintain and monitor internal data systems and external systems as required.

Undertake other administrative duties as necessary, including dealing with enquiries from staff and members of the public, on the telephone and face to face.
Provide administrative support for regular meetings, as defined by the Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Lead.
Embrace the opportunity to attend events both internal to the organisation and external, to support Apprenticeships programmes that NUH run.
To request information and collate Talent for Care returns for NUH, and submit to HEE, as directed.
Record and securely store information relating to confidential matters and enquiries.
Undertake an annual appraisal to identify any necessary personal development required to meet the objectives of the Team, and to further develop the post holders’ skills and role.
The post holder will be required to undertake mandatory training as and when require.
Draft and produce non-standard communication
Where agreed, service meetings including liaising with the chairperson to produce and distribute an agenda, takes and produces meeting notes and an update on all actions in a timely manner.
Positively contributing to the Human Resources function through developing relationships with other members of the team and be an advocate for Apprenticeships.
Leading, attending and contributing to team meetings.
Participating in the personal development review (appraisal) process.
