We are looking for a caring and passionate Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to work as part of our Criminal Justice & Secure Care Team

Rethink Mental Illness work CRG to provide mental health services into HMP Altcourse. The team compromises a range of highly skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care for those with mental health needs within the prison and for Rethink Mental Illness employees, this is carried out between 0800 - 1600 Monday to Friday. As this is a training role, travel to the relevant university will be required and attendance at the university is a contractual commitment. Expenses will be provided for this, and wellbeing will be considered when reviewing the management of travel time.

**What I achieve**:
I work as part of an integrated primary care mental health team within the Prison to train in, and provide high volume, low intensity interventions which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions, for clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. This includes providing guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, in line with the current Step 2 IAPT guidelines.

Typically for a trainee, the role will see you in base 4 days per week and attending University 1 day per week, although this ratio can vary throughout the academic year. 100% Attendance at the university is mandatory and there is a high volume of academic work within the training year.
