About the Role

YPAS is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team as Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP) Trainees. As a CYWP Trainee, you will play a key role in providing early mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under supervision to gain experience and develop the skills required to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, CBT-Informed early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems within community settings.
  • Provide low-intensity interventions for anxiety, depression, and conduct problems, including guided self-help.
  • Attend study sessions approximately two days a week and work in YPAS Community Hubs and peripatetic across Liverpool GPs for the remaining three days.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing.
  • Aptitude to undertake a postgraduate/graduate study programme.
  • Ability to produce academic work required for a Level 7 qualification (for applicants without a degree or academic equivalence).
