**The Post**
The post holder will work as part of the International Mobility Team within the Directorate for Internationalisation and Partnerships (DIP), reporting directly to the Head of International Mobility, with whom he/she will work closely on the organisation and co-ordination of the University of Stirling’s outward mobility programmes. The position will also support and enhance recruitment to incoming study abroad programmes as opportunities arise through in-country and on-campus activities. The role will involve periods working away from home in the UK and overseas with partners and external stakeholders.

This will involve:

- Providing effective coordination and enhancement of exchange programme administration in relation to University of Stirling students studying abroad, collaborating with Faculty and Professional Services on relevant activities across the entire student lifecycle;
- Working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that required standards of quality and governance are achieved in a consistent manner across activities and that excellent student experience is delivered and maintained;
- Working as a member of the Directorate in collaboration with Faculties and other Professional Service areas to seek innovative solutions to administrative opportunities and challenges;
- Promoting and working towards achieving the University’s strategic goals, covering both international and UK objectives, from the developmental stages of exploring new exchange and study abroad partnerships, to establishing and developing strong relationships between institutions whilst maintaining a high degree of professionalism and commitment.

**Description of Duties**
The International Mobility Officer will:

- Support the recruitment, selection and nomination of qualified students to outward study abroad opportunities at the University of Stirling. This includes liaison with Faculty contacts and external partners, ensuring that appropriate criteria are met and other relevant documentation completed
- Provide students with advice, pastoral and administrative support prior to, during and upon completion of their study abroad activity
- Maintain regular, consistent levels of contact with partners, relevant Faculties and Services to ensure a seamless and high-quality student experience
- Develop links and effective working relationships with external stakeholders including recruitment agencies, partner institutions and other external bodies in relation to the promotion and marketing of University of Stirling study abroad programmes
- Provide advice and assistance to individuals and groups interested in the University of Stirling as a study destination. This will include delivering various presentations and workshops to prospective students and University stakeholders
- Undertake overseas activities to raise the profile of the University in key priority markets and encourage recruitment to all study abroad programmes
- Monitor, evaluate and report outcomes of recruitment activities undertaken in order to facilitate planning and ensure continued focus on return on investment. Report on trends and developments in target markets related to the recruitment of inbound and outbound study abroad and exchange students
- Assist in arranging and organising itineraries for overseas visitors to University of Stirling
- Participate in the activities of the other integrated functions within DIP and carry out any other duties/projects from time to time as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director of DIP

**Essential Criteria**
- An honours degree or equivalent
- Relevant experience within Higher Education, preferably in a recruitment or admissions context with a high level of confidence presenting in front of an audience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, including academic staff, students, parents and University partners
- Proven ability to work proactively and contribute effectively and efficiently as part of a team, and to adapt planning in response to ad-hoc work and unforeseen circumstances
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise demanding workload to meet tight deadlines
- A competent user of the MS Office 365 suite and popular social media tools with a keen interest in exploring new ways of working
- Willingness to work flexibly, sometimes during unsocial hours, weekends or occasional public holidays as well as extended periods away from home and abroad
- Willingness to actively participate in the wider activities within DIP
- In possession of a full driving licence
