**The Opportunity**

This opportunity is working internally within our content & social seam on an exciting new project, a satirical financial news/trading site & well-known finance meme page, consisting of over 1 million community followers across five social media platforms.

You will lead the content creation for a satirical news site & its social channels for one of the hottest communities on Wall Street. As the premier hub for finance enthusiasts with a sense of humour, our platform offers a unique space to share hilarious memes, witty market observations, and engaging discussions. We aim to provide a refreshing and engaging experience for both seasoned professionals and newcomers alike to gain valuable insights, stay up-to-date with the latest trends, and enjoy a lighthearted take on the finance industry.

**Your Responsibilities**

**Execution and Ownership**
- Ensure the site is populated daily with satirical news stories around finance, trading, politics and crypto.
- Lead the overall direction, creation, and execution of content across the website & social media channels, including Instagram, X, TikTok and Youtube Shorts.
- Source daily trending stories and stay up-to-date with industry news and changes to ensure the creation of timely and impactful satirical content.
- Brief writers on the stories of the day and give them clear direction as to the tone and satirical angle.
- Take ownership of editorial standards and ensure that all content is optimised for engagement and search.

**Research and Delivery**
- Utilise your in-depth sector knowledge and experience in finance, Wall Street, trading, and crypto to lead the creation of satirical articles, engaging and relevant meme content.
- Stay ahead of the news agenda and upcoming events relevant to the sector, incorporating them into the content strategy when appropriate.
- Analyse social media performance metrics, provide insights, and make recommendations to optimise engagement and reach.

**Operations and Communications**
- Oversee and manage the content & social team responsible for content creation, community management and moderation.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure visual assets align with the brand's tone, style, and meme culture.
- Collaborate with the Head of Social, Creative Lead, and Head of Operations to create campaigns for partnerships and paying clients.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive interactions.

**What will you bring?**
- Proven marketing or social media experience in the financial industry
- Experience, interest or knowledge within the US financial industry is beneficial
- Strong understanding of social media platforms; TikTok, Twitter, IG, YouTube, and how to optimise content for each channel
- Experience producing engaging content in a fast paced environment
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to create compelling content for various audiences
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and other graphic design software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
