Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (CFT) is looking to recruit to the position of Suicide Prevention Lead. You will act as one of two Suicide Prevention Lead Clinicians for CFT.

The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. You will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives leading to improved patient care. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued professional development.

Working collaboratively within and across organisations in the Southwest to contribute towards reducing incidents of suicide, and to establish and disseminate best practice in relation to suicide assessment, intervention, treatment, and management processes. The post holder will act as an expert practitioner and role model to support the workforce to provide safe, effective, and high standards of care in relation to the prevention of suicide.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
