An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Administration Team Leader to join the Robins Ward Team. We are looking for a full-time or part-time dynamic and motivated individual to provide administrative and clerical support to the multi-disciplinary team on Robins Ward and the Theatre Direct Admissions (TDA) service.

The post holder will need to have administrator and have good communication skills. You will need to be organised and have an ability to manage time effectively. You will need to have experience with patient management systems and be prepared to undertake further training as required.

The role will involve meeting and greeting patients and their families arriving on both reception areas, inputting patient details onto the patient administrative system, requesting and tracking patient notes, scanning notes, taking telephone calls, admitting and discharging patients on the patient management systems

The role will also involve managing a small team over multiple places and supporting them as needed.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical support to the ward team in accordance with the departmental and trust standards.
To keep a well organised ward and ensure all relevant systems and processes are kept up to date to ensure smooth patient care from admission to discharge. TDA is a service where patients are admitted pre-operatively.
To provide support and guidance to all colleagues internally and externally in a professional and informed manner.
