To provide high-quality, comprehensive and professional administrative support to the Safeguarding Adult Team.

To provide an administrative support service to the Safeguarding Team with a focus on Safeguarding Adults.

To assist the team to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of Safeguarding is delivered and maintained.

To work as an integral part of the Safeguarding Team ensuring high quality services to ensue patient safety promoting a positive image for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.

To maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with staff/patients or visitors.

To provide excellent customer facing service at all times.

The post holder will be the effective first point of contact for Safeguarding Adults enquiries and will need to be able to convey information effectively to the Adult and Children Safeguarding Team.

The post holder will be required to input data onto Excel spreadsheets and assist the Adult and Children Safeguarding Team to maintain robust and auditable systems for Safeguarding.

The post holder will regularly be required to use this data for monthly and quarterly reporting, producing graphs.

The post holder will be required to assist the team in arranging bespoke training sessions.

The post holder will regularly liaise with wards/departments to ensure that all relevant Safeguarding or DOLS paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.

The post holder will be required to liaise frequently with the County Council Safeguarding and DOLS offices around the country, to chase or provide updates and update the wards accordingly.

The post holder will be prepared to answer/reply to queries relating to health records, either by telephone or in person. This will include external agencies such as the Police, Chanel, Domestic Abuse services etc.

The post holder will advise the team of any concerns relating to information alerting them of pending deadlines.

The post holder will support the maintenance of a consistent level of liaison between Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Multi-Disciplinary Teams within the community.

You will be working within a friendly, supportive team to support Adults within Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties.

To provide an accurate and consistent service to the Safeguarding Department, completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner.

To develop and maintain strong, professional working relationships with other members of the team, as well as departments throughout the Trust as necessary to ensure delivery of a robust service.

To display excellent verbal and written communication skills, using understanding and compassion when communicating with staff or other professionals who may be distressed, hard of hearing or whose first language is not English.

In conjunction with the Safeguarding Nurses, review the DoLS appliactions in line with the agreed referral criteria and contact the appropriate Health or Social Care professionals.

Check the databases and electronic systems to help ascertain vulnerable adults and children and any professional involvements.
