We are looking for a school clerical assistant with a passion for working in the school environment to join our team. We are a busy and welcoming primary and nursery school in Dennis Road, Birmingham.
You will be the first point of contact at the school, dealing with visitors, parents, staff, governors, and various external agencies. This is a high profile and pivotal role in the success of our school and for this reason you will need to possess excellent communication skills (spoken and written), accurate organisational skills with the ability to complete work to a high quality. The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children, parents and staff is vital. You should have a caring, equality driven, positive ethos to match our school and be committed to the safeguarding of all our children.
Applicants should have at least a good pass at GCSE level in both English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) with the ability to demonstrate previous experience of administrative work including word processing, excel spreadsheets, maintaining databases, and telephone and reception duties. At all times you will be acting as a representative for the school. Additionally, you will demonstrate the need for confidentiality at all times, working to deadlines and managing several demands on your time.
