Lincoln Accident and Emergency Department employs a dedicated team of Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Healthcare Support Workers, Porters, Reception staff and Housekeepers and an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the leadership team supporting their growth and the quality of care received by patients in our care.
The Clinical Educator post is to be worked over a 5-day working week predominately between the hours of 0800-1600hrs Monday to Friday to ensure full capture of the service we offer and to ensure there is ample opportunity to work alongside staff. This post is not included within the daily nursing numbers and has been actively prioritised as a protected role to ensure the team can be nurtured to their fullest potential.
The successful applicant will be accountable along with the band 7 team and the matron to ensure an established workforce are kept up to date with their training requirements and that new starters to the department are guided appropriately through the induction/ initial integration process within the team.
This is an extensive role that would suit a passionate, dynamic, inspiring professional with the drive for excellence and success.
This secondment will be to solely work with our NQN and IEN team.
The Department is undergoing an exciting period of change with a major refurbishment underway expanding our Resuscitation and Paediatric areas
The Department sees 77,000 new patients each year and provides a demanding and challenging environment in which to work, learn and grow.
It is a designated hospital for Trauma and Major Incidents and operates a Multi-disciplinary Rapid Assessment and Treatment service, we are also proud to work with our system partners from LCHS to provide Minor illness and injury care through the Urgent Treatment Centre service on site.
This role will focus on educating staff at all levels encouraging them to learn develop and grow to their fullest potential in line with the current Accident and Emergency educational plan, you will ensure staff are supported to develop their core to undertake their role proficiently and work in conjunction with the senior nursing team, medical team, clinical education team and peers from other areas.
