Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. You will support the Home Manager with the management of the home, with a particular emphasis on clinical nursing leadership which can involve making critical decisions and managing clinical issues within a person-centered care model. The role holds responsibility for the quality of nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that our residents receive an excellent standard of care.

You will be responsible for leading, motivating and managing your team, actively monitoring and supervising care practices to ensure that high standards of nursing and personal care are met and, where necessary, you will provide clinical guidance and leadership.

Chilterns Court is a 64 bed Care Home situated in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. The home offers first class and compassionate residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a comfortable, homely setting. We’re rated 9.6 by Carehome.co.uk and Good by the Care Quality Commission.

**ABOUT YOU**

You’ll need to be an RGN or RMN with an active PIN. You will have a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and will also have experience of or be willing to train in:

- Medication administration
- Catheterisation
- End of life care
- Verification of death
- Syringe drivers
- Gastrostomy care
- Venepuncture
- Diabetic awareness
- Tissue viability
- Epilepsy awareness
- Management of deterioration - sepsis awareness

You will be a positive role model, able to work autonomously and, at times, under pressure, with excellent communication and organisational skills and a natural ability to build positive working relationships with others. Above all, you will understand and manage the complexities of a multitude of clinical and psychological factors that affect the health and wellbeing of our elderly residents. A supportive leader, you will motivate your team to always deliver the best possible care to our residents.

**AND IN RETURN**

The rewards for our Nurses are great. Our roles offer greater flexibility in working patterns, more autonomy with decision making, the opportunity to build close relationships with the residents in your care in a consultative, case-management role.

The Trust is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we’re currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in.
