**Qualified Residential Childcare Practitioners needed for a brand new Children's home project in Walsall**

This brand new 2 Bedded EBD home in Walsall is recruiting for Residential Childcare Practitioners to join a brand new team. You would be working on a 1 on 2 off pattern with a sleep in guaranteed on every shift. The organisation have several charity ventures which are funded by the profits the Children's homes make - they support young people in third world countries and have been known to send staff on missionary work overseas

Two 2 Bedded EBD homes adjoined

1 on 2 off shift pattern (24.5 hour shifts)

£30,559.78 starting salary, rising to £31,087.68 after completion of probation (including sleep-ins)

As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will be making a vital difference to the lives of children & young people who display emotional and behavioural difficulties, traumatic backgrounds and social/emotional mental health.

The role includes:

- Supporting young people within their own home environment, ensuring that they feel safe and cared for, helping with tasks and teaching life skills
- Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities, to school and to appointments
- Building relationships and trust with young people
- Recording the young person’s activity & reporting key aspects of their care to ensure the highest standard is always achieved
- Promoting the young person’s independence and growth, developing their life skills and opportunities
