London, United Kingdom Penguin Books Limited Full time

At Penguin Random House UK, we are transforming our systems and processes in the HRIS and Payroll domain. We’ll be making significant changes to Technology systems and business workflows and over the next 14-months we’ll be on an exciting journey.

**The role**

This newly created Senior HRIS Specialist & Test Lead position will be supporting the successful delivery of the new HRIS and Payroll solution. In this role, you will be involved in a range of activities throughout the project including configuration, requirements gathering, analysing functional specifications, end user training and handover documentation. You’ll also own and run the test workstream for the duration of the programme, ensuring the system is appropriate for use across all Penguin Random House employees.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Join design workshops and actively contribute to the project.
- Collaborate with the implementation partner to develop the new HRIS and Payroll solution.
- Hands-on building and configuring of the new HRIS platform.
- Lead the test workstream and define the strategy and governance.
- Run UAT test cycles for all releases and support business testers.
- Analyse, report, and present testing status and results.
- Manage and resolve testing issues swiftly.
- Coordinate testing cycles with support teams, such as integrations.
- Support the Application Management team post go-live and report bugs.
- Coordinate the Super User community and create system administration training documentation.

**What you will bring**:

- A proven track record of successfully testing medium to large technical changes within HRIS and Payroll.
- Extensive experience in HRIS system workflow and functional configuration.
- Proficiency in testing tracking tools, such as JIRA.
- Demonstrated ability to create test scripts, test plans, and documentation.
- Significant experience in managing stakeholders at different levels, both internal and external.
- An adaptable and flexible approach to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortability with providing feedback and an interest in building your knowledge across our HR processes.

**Our approach to hybrid working**:
While our offices are places for you to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, having flexibility about where you work is just as important for doing your best work and for your wellbeing. So, we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to how we work in different teams across Penguin Random House UK.

This is a hybrid role, based in our offices in London, as there are activities and meetings that you will need to support in-person. We are happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements with you during your recruitment process.

**About Penguin**:
We’re the UK’s largest publisher; made up of some 2,000 people and publishing over 1,500 books each year. Our doors are open to all kinds of talent. In a constantly evolving industry, we work hard to stretch the definition of the word publisher. Here, you’ll work with a breadth of talent who all play their part to make each of our books a success. Together, we make books for everyone because a book can change anyone.
