**Typical Responsibilties**:

- Chasing payment of all overdue accounts via letter and telephone using an in-house diary system
- Housekeeping all credit accounts ensuring the ledger is kept up to date and any unallocated cash is investigated and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Reviewing clients account queries, resolving where possible or logging to the relevant department within the company to investigate.
- Monitoring and reviewing all ongoing queries to ensure these are responded to by the investigating department in a timely manner.
- Credit checking all orders received via our in-house PHP order portal system, ensuring the clients corresponding credit account is within the appointed terms and there is sufficient credit limit available to accommodate the order values. Liaising directly with clients to resolve any account issues preventing the processing of same.
- Closely monitoring the progression of high risk orders as and when assigned to you by the Credit Manager, ensuring these are actioned by the relevant departments in accordance with any special terms appointed, such as phased invoicing etc.
- Carry out monthly financial reviews/forecasts against all live clients on your assigned ledger by using our appointed credit reference agency and ledger portfolio management tools.
- Escalating any required legal action to the Credit Manager
- Monthly ledger reviews with the Credit Manager, outlining any specific areas of concern
- Any other additional duties commensurate with the position
