**About the role**

Based within the Future Students team in the Academic Planning department, this role will be responsible for taking the lead for specific projects and to ensure efficient and effective admissions processes, with a particular focus on our partnership provision within the UK and internationally.

The post requires the holder to work collaboratively with all parts of the University, and crucially with external partners and applicants. The role will work to agree recruitment targets in advance of each intake and make plans to ensure the infrastructure is in place to ensure targets are met. The role also takes responsibility for assessing current processes and helping to implement new procedures where necessary, including helping to establish academic and English language entry requirements. The post holder will line manage the partnership admissions officers, ensuring members are recruited, trained and supported, so that an efficient and professional services is offered.

They will also be expected to contribute to all major Academic Planning activities including open days, clearing, registration, assessments and graduation.

**About you (requirements)**

The post holder must have: demonstrable experience in working in an administrative role in the Higher Education sector or complex organisation, preferably in a supervisory role; highly developed organisational skills and have considerable experience using computerised systems including databases and the internet. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, as is the ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures. Building effective working relationships (internally and externally) is an essential skill for the role. Communication and customer service skills are also essential, as is the ability to work within a team whilst prioritising your own workload effectively. The post holder will need to be positive, flexible and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. Previous experience of Admissions within the Higher Education sector, line management and implementing new processes would be an advantage.
