Key responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Admissions: Manage the recruitment process, including advertising studentships, handling inquiries, processing applications, and coordinating interviews and open days.
  • MRes and PhD Support: Act as first point of contact for CDT enquiries, coordinate training courses, and ensure accurate record-keeping

An excellent track record in financial and general administration of a centre involving >30 people is essential to the role.

Proven experience managing large, diverse budgets (>£1M) is highly desirable.

The post holder will posses a positive attitude and a conscientious approach to work, a well-developed sense of responsibility, as well as a high degree of flexibility.

Capacity for autonomous and pro-active working as well as the ability to contribute to a team is essential.

About us:

The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach (CSCT) is an EPSRC-funded training centre at the University of Bath that will train around 70 PhD students in five cohorts, hosted within the Institute of Sustainability and Climate Change (ISCC).

The CDT will operate in close partnership with our Swindon-based Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies (iCAST), a £17M partnership for innovation and translation of research that has established a cluster of over 100 sustainable technology companies and will provide a dynamic innovation-focused context for PhD training in the region.

The Institute of Sustainability and Climate Change integrates physical, social and systems sciences at Bath and develops leaders in tackling critical sustainability issues.

The Institute aims to deliver novel chemical technologies and robust behavioural solutions, brought together through whole system evaluation to reframe problems and create transformative innovation in sustainability and climate change.
