Trauma Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with surgical experience to join our trauma and orthopaedic team. The role involves the coordination of the trauma patient in all aspects of their care from admission to discharge.

You will need to be an enthusiastic, motivated specialist nurse with the ability to demonstrate good organisational, leadership and communication skills.

For this post, recent experience of working in an acute hospital setting, some experience of trauma and orthopaedics would be beneficial but not essential. If you can work 37.5 hours per week we would love to hear from you.

To be responsible for the progress of the orthopaedic trauma patient along the agreed pathways, which are supported by the implementation of evidenced based practices and to lead in the facilitation of the hip trauma integrated care pathway, and individual patient’s specialist needs.

To develop general management and negotiation skills.

To assist in promoting and maintaining an effective learning environment for staff, acting as a facilitator in the supervision and teaching of staff.
