The Teaching Assistant:

The Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be supporting teaching staff with delivering lessons to pupils aged 11 - 19 with Autism and additional needs. You will also be providing 1:1 support and interventions to pupils in small groups. You will assist the teacher with managing classroom behaviour and providing wellbeing and academic support where required. You will assist with wider-school activities, such as trips.
The School:
The school is a fantastic Secondary and post-16 school based in South Birmingham. It is relatively small and has a residential unit supporting a fraction of the pupils full-time. It caters for pupils with Autism and additional needs, with up to seven pupils in each class. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have access to specialist resources to aid you in your support work.
