Cambridge, United Kingdom Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The East Genomic Laboratory Hub at Cambridge University Hospitals is looking for a Scientific Support Officer to join the Solid Cancer reporting team and help with the task of ensuring patient samples progress through the Laboratory efficiently and on the correct pathway.

This new post will support the expansion of the Solid Cancer Genomic Service to provide large scale, high quality, patient-centric genomic testing. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

You will work as part of a friendly and supportive team within this specialist clinical area. You will contribute to the service by helping the scientific team perform a variety of non-analytical but essential auxiliary activities.

You will be joining a dynamic, growing establishment that is developing its staff in a vibrant atmosphere where you will be able to make a real difference to patients who are benefitting from the latest genomic testing technology.

To provide a highly professional, comprehensive, effective and efficient scientific support service to the Duty Scientists within the Genomics Laboratory, CUH.
