Our client is a registered children’s charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK.Since 2008, they have been the only Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ adoption agency in the North of England. They recruit, train and support individualsand families as adopters and offer them ongoing support and training for as long as they need it. They also provide support to birth families and adopted adults.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the fundraising focus of a dynamic and growing charity.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Recent experience working in a fundraising, relationship management or business development role
- Experience in influencing and inspiring support from business, communities and individuals
- Proven experience in establishing and managing successful relationships with businesses and individuals either within a corporate, business development or fundraising environment
- Track record of lead generation
- Experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy, setting and achieving income targets and KPIs
- Knowledge of the charity and corporate sectors and willingness and desire to understand the adoption and social care sector
- Knowledge of developing new resources for specific fundraising goals e.g. corporate support, charity of the year, individual giving campaigns and community events
- Understanding of the principles of supporter stewardship in retaining and developing supporters, donors and volunteers
- Full, UK driving licence and your own car insured for business use
- Willingness and ability to work some unsocial hours, including occasional overnight stays
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required

**Your main responsibilities will involve**
- Identify the strategic priorities for fundraising in alignment with the organisation’s Business Plan and Strategy and develop/implement an annual fundraising plan
- Target multiple income streams with a range of approaches to generate additional fundraising income
- Create and implement innovative fundraising campaigns ensuring objectives are achieved and progress monitored, evaluating the success of different approaches
- Create, implement and manage fundraising social media content working closely with the Marketing teamon a regular basis
- Researching major companies, employers and organisations in the region(s), particularly those based close to the offices, assessing their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies, core values, aims and objectives and identifying those with clearlinks to our own with a view to collaboration
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of innovative fundraising techniques and current best practice
