Events Operations Supervisor

The Groucho Club is looking for an experienced **Events Operations Supervisor** to be part of our Events team. Our next **Events Operations Supervisor** needs to have proactive energy, a positive can-do attitude and friendly personality alongside all the other skills that make you a top employee. **Responsibilities**
- Managing floor staff during events held within the Club;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment providing service for a maximum of 300 members and guests;
- Providing excellent customer service to both members and guests;
- Maintains an energetic presence and displays a high level of enthusiasm whilst working an event;
- Building positive relationships with members and guests to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Greet and serve members whilst working an event;
- Understand and educate members and guests on the food menu, drinks and wine list from the Events, Restaurant and Bar menu;
- Answering questions from members and guests about food and beverages;
- Taking orders and serving food and beverages to members and guests throughout the event;
- Steer ancillary revenues by recommending and advising other products to members and guests;
- Set-up according to the Club standard and Function Sheet;
- Removing empty plates, used silverware, and soiled napkins from tables;
- Ensure all mis-en-place is complete before beginning of event and all clearing up is complete at the end of the event;
- Day-to-day cleaning of event rooms and serveries as directed by Supervisors and management team;
- Operating dishwasher and coffee machines as required;
- Maintaining the bins, dining areas, floor areas, tables, and all other service related areas
**Skills**
- Have at least 1-2 years’ experience working as either a waiter or within functions.
- Must have an outgoing, confident and bubbly personality.
- Be smart and well presented at all times.
- Must have a good understanding on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Must have the ability to maintain professional self-control when dealing with uncommon and challenging circumstances.
- You must have exceptional communication skills.
- You should be focussed on delivering excellent customer service to our employees and our members.
- You must have the ability to interact successfully at several social levels and across diverse values.
