**Position: Medical School Advisory Board Member**

**Location: Liverpool**

**Time Commitment: 1-2 days per year (voluntary)**

Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Medical School Advisory Board, a panel of 12-15 experts who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of medical education. As a board member, you will contribute your expertise to guide the development of level 3 certificates and diplomas, advise on pre-medical school content, and ensure that aspiring medical students are well-prepared for their journey into medical school.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Content Advisory**:

- Provide valuable insights and recommendations on the content of level 3 certificates and diplomas.
- Review and enhance content delivered to pre-med students during the summer to ensure it aligns with the latest developments in the medical field.

**Admissions Process Updates**:

- Keep students informed about updates in the medical school admissions process.
- Work closely with educational institutions to stay abreast of changes in admission criteria and requirements.

**Student Preparation**:

- Advise on strategies to best prepare and perform in interviews for medical school admission.
- Ensure that students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their medical education.

**Vetting and Partnerships**:

- Establish and nurture relationships with individual professionals within medical schools to foster collaboration and partnership.

**Literature and Branding**:

- Partner with universities and prominently feature their names in literature to enhance credibility and recognition.
- Contribute to the creation of promotional materials that highlight the advisory board's role in shaping the success of medical students.

**Networking**:

- Actively build and maintain relationships with individuals working within medical schools, fostering a network that supports the goals of the advisory board.
- Leverage connections to stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and opportunities for collaboration.

**Personal Specification**:
**Essential**:

- Significant experience in the medical field, preferably with a focus on medical education or admissions.
- In-depth knowledge of the medical school admissions process and curriculum development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting aspiring medical professionals.

**Desirable**:

- Prior experience serving on advisory boards or committees.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and innovations in medical education.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks within the medical community.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by pre-med students and medical schools.
- Commitment to volunteerism and contributing to the betterment of medical education.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
