Ipswich, United Kingdom East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you a skilled ICT Trainer seeking a fresh challenge? Are you the go-to person for NHS Clinical System assistance?

If yes, consider joining ESNEFT's ICT Training Team.

It is an exciting time for the Trust as we embark on our new digital journey implementing the Epic Electronic Patient Record system across our sites, with the ICT Training Team responsible for developing the system training packages ensuring that our users undergo effective training and become proficient in utilising Epic as an integral part of their onboarding experience.

You must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with an eye for detail, flexible and open to different ideas and concepts. You need to be able to learn new content to interpret and develop user-friendly training as we support process change. Strong ICT skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and training experience is essential, as is the ability to travel. Effective communication, professionalism, and a commitment to optimising ICT systems are also crucial.

Knowledge of Careflow, Lorenzo Patient Administration Systems, ICE Order Communications, SystmOne, and NHS processes would be advantageous along with experience in e-learning authoring.

We have both permanent and fixed Term (until March 2026) positions are available.

You will work with the other members of the ICT Training Team to develop and deliver a high quality Training Programme which meets the requirements of the Trust and promotes accurate data recording.

You will provide a consistent and professional learning and support service for all systems used to support patient care within the Trust, e.g. Epic EPR, Lorenzo Regional Care, Careflow PAS and Maternity, Evolve Document Records Management System, and other clinical and non-clinical systems.

You will assist in implementation of any new system or process including online or classroom based training and preparation of help guides for users.

You will support the IT Training Manager in the planning and development of an innovative Training Programme that is considerate to the working patterns of staff groups throughout the hospital and to have an understanding of the varying levels of computer skills competency that exist within the Trust

We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics and in patients’ own homes.

We are the largest NHS organisation in East Anglia, employing more than 12,000 staff.

We pride ourselves on supporting our staff. We offer a wide range of training and development opportunities, as well as flexible working options.

Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offer a variety of services.

Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients.

We are investing in our commitment to Time Matters with a partnership with leading electronic patient record (EPR) supplier Epic. This digital transformation will bring what’s widely regarded as the world’s best EPR system to ESNEFT, transforming life in hospital for staff and patients.

If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge, then we want to hear from you.
