ESNEFT is in the process of consolidating and rationalising its network, domain and server architectures across its multiple sites, as well as managing a large clinical systems programme which will see technology updated over the next few years. The trust is also growing and has initiated a number of large build projects, and refurbishments to the existing building estate. We have an immediate requirement for this role to work alongside an existing team of technical staff and corporate functions to ensure core infrastructure requirements are met.
Please note you will be expected to travel to ESNEFT sites as and when required.
As a senior member of staff you will be expected to slot straight into the role and mentor junior members of staff to achieve best practice and timely project outcomes. This role would suit an ambitious project manager with good prior experience looking to prove themselves within the NHS.

**Principal objectives**:
- To act as in the role of a Technical Project Manager responsible for the delivery of core ICT infrastructure initiatives.
- To lead and manage the continuing review of clinical and business process programmes to affect change through the use of IT solutions. Ensure clinical and business processes are aligned with the Trust’s Information Management and Technology, modernisation and organisational strategies through Trust-wide collaboration.
- To assemble and manage Trust-wide projects and project teams required for the replacement and enhancement of the Trust’s core information systems. Ensure projects are aligned to the Trust and local health community strategies.
- Work collaboratively across the Trust, Suffolk Community Healthcare Services and nationally as appropriate to support the development and delivery of cross-organisational projects and business processes
**Key Responsibilities**:
- As lead specialist propose service development changes for areas affected by specific information system projects across the Trust. Undertake formal presentations comprising various levels of technical business process information to diverse groups e.g. Service Managers, Project Boards, Medical Staff Committee, Strategy and Governance Groups to inform and persuade stakeholders and decision makers about proposed business process changes including structured explanations of potentially contentious information.
- Develop strategies supported by detailed plans to ensure business processes are properly considered as part of any information systems project. Be responsible for planning and advising on the implementation of new and changing business processes to facilitate and realise quality of service delivery and financial benefits. This will include surveys of the marketplace, liaison with IT suppliers, monitoring of key commercial developments and close working with stakeholders to prepare business cases seeking approval for projects including the setting out of requirements and the proposal of solution options
- Plan and undertake departmental and Trust-wide surveys to gather detailed information about current business processes and capacity to ensure systems and processes are able to meet demand. Where appropriate consider complex and/or conflicting information required to gain agreement on a range of modified processes to support the implementation of new ways of working.
