3GS will train you to become an effective City Centre Support Officer who will support our local council to tackle environmental crime and antisocial behaviour.

**What do we do?**

As a City Centre Officer you will be responsible for:

- Patrolling the local area - please note this position requires you to be on your feet and walking for the majority of the shift.
- Checking pedlars, sellers and charity collectors certificates and licences
- Ensuring you are working in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance, policies and procedures
- Dealing with the general public and being an approachable friendly point of contact.
- Responding promptly to prevent or diffuse any actual problems of public order or safety within our communities, calling appropriate assistance where necessary.
- The above list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive; the post-holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post. Job descriptions will be regularly reviewed to ensure they are an accurate representation of the post._

**Who are we looking for?**

You will be self-motivated and committed to excellence. Ideally you will:

- Have experience in a customer facing role, dealing with difficult situations and customers
- Be an effective communicator both verbal and written
- Have a calm and assertive manner with the ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with people from all backgrounds
- Have good observational and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Have a professional approach to your work and act with integrity at all times
- Be resilient. This job requires a you to deal with difficult situations head on whilst remaining composed
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Contract type and Hours**:

- 40 hours per week Wednesday to Sunday.
- Shift times are 12:00 to 20:00.
- This is a fixed term contract for 22.5 weeks on behalf of Leeds City Council.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
