**Commercial Assistant**

**Location - Barnsley**

**An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our engineering team working on a portfolio of engineering projects for various clients including our Environment Agency MEICA & Civils frameworks as well as our Canals & Rivers Trust M&E Maintenance framework.**

**Business Unit**

A busy and fast paced business unit involved in a range of civil engineering works on behalf of various clients delivering engineering maintenance and infrastructure on a portfolio of civil engineering, E&P, Mechanical & Electrical and highways framework projects for a variety of key clients.

**The Role**

As a Commercial Assistant you will form an integral part of our expert commercial team in the daily commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects and frameworks within our portfolio.

You will work closely with the Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Management team providing commercial and administrative assistance. Your responsibilities will comprise of providing Commercial support to the wider commercial team on administrative tasks such as producing estimates from a schedule of rates and site reports, re-measuring actual works delivered and drafting final accounts. Day to day as a Commercial Assistant your duties will comprise of:

- Sub-Contractor - Payments, Procurement, Liabilities for CVR
- Weekly Reports - Job Tracker
- Create & Process order requests
- Compilation of final account packs for the clients
- Obtaining signed completion certificates and chasing information from internal staff
- Various CVR data exercises
- Distribution of Technical Query forms to client and dealing with responses
- Gathering Final Account Information
- Organising Final Account Information to be signed off by the client to be paid
- Issuing Site Inspections to the relevant QS to be estimated
- Submitting estimates on for client approval
- Ensuring all Completion Paperwork & Estimates are filed
