R&d Technician

CK Group are recruiting for a R&D Technician to join a Dyes and Inks manufacturing company based in South Yorkshire, on a full time, permanent basis.
**Location**:
The role is located in South Yorkshire and is easily commutable from both Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster.
**Responsibilities of this R&D Technician will include to**:

- Support the development of existing and new products with lab bench work by mixing components according to formulations
- Support the development of new methods
- Maintain accurate product development records and data files
- Provide regular reports on results and activities
- Assist in the scale up process from pilot to commercial production.
- Develop a working knowledge of available analytical and physical testing equipment

**As an R&D Technician you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience**:

- BSc degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related science as well as 2 years of experience in materials chemistry R&D/formulations
- Experience must include hands on formulation experience of new products from idea to commercialization
- Experience in plastisol, silicone and/or aqueous chemistry
- Knowledge of mathematics and statistical methods is especially desired.

This role will also require moderate physical activity and use of harmful chemicals, PPE will be provided wherever possible.
