Senior Associate - Risk Specialist

**About this role**

**The UK Business Risk Office is hiring**

Managing risk is integral to our business and helps ensure sustainable growth and that our customers get great outcomes. Our business risk office supports and drives a wide range of activity in the UK Business and is a diverse and welcoming team.

**What do our Risk Specialists do?**

A wide range of things Business Continuity, Governance, Strategic Oversight and enabling our Risk Management programs. They all work closely together in the Risk Office to ensure the business can take informed risks and achieve our strategic objectives.

Initially, your focus will be delivery of our Risk Management frameworks where you will partner with other Risk Managers to ensure we aid business leaders in understanding and managing their risk effectively to help us flourish and our customers to receive good outcomes

**What you'll do**:
The Risk Office drives and partners with the business on valuable initiatives and important programmes that help drive the UK Business forward and ensure we understand risk as we do so.

You will be working in our Data Risk and Business Risk Management Team that
- Understands our Risk Management Frameworks and how we drive maximum value from them in the UK to ensure we get to good customer outcomes
- Lead core risk activity across the UK business including ; Business Unit Risk Management, Product Risk Assessment and Process Level Assessments
- Test the design and operating effectiveness of controls across the business
- Partner with areas of the business to help them manage their risks effectively and ensure we are getting to good customer outcomes

**What are we looking for?**

An analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems and identify great solutions is critical. Other skills and competencies we are looking for include
- Two years experience working in Risk Management or a related area
- Great stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of an organisation
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and prioritise issues and recommend solutions
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects with judgement on when to escalate
- Proactive approach to building organisational networks and connections

**Where and how you'll work**

This is a permanent position and can be based in our Nottingham offices.

Our hybrid working model offers you the flexibility to work from our offices and from home, when you need to.

We're big on collaboration and connection, and so generally encourage our associates to use our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The number of days you spend in the office will usually be led by the type of work you’re doing, and the hybrid working patterns of the people you partner most closely with.
