- RAA520722We are seeking an Associate Director to be responsible for the strategic leadership of services for assessment operations. You will be responsible for implementation of policy for assessment and extenuating circumstances, including coursework submission and formal examination scheduling, invigilation, and alternative assessment arrangements. This role comes at a time of evolution for assessment operations as we innovate and digitise assessment. We aim to set new standards to ensure our students say we provide the best service they ever received. An understanding and appreciation for the complexities of assessment in Higher Education is essential, including a focus on process improvement, adoption of new practices and technologies for assessment and customer service, oversight of assessment regulations and examinations.

The Assessment Team is co-led by two Associate Directors who provide strategic oversight and lead service delivery from engagement in assessment to results, progression and award. The Associate Directors lead collaboratively to develop a team of c.80 and develop and deliver excellent assessment services in a large, diverse, and complex university. Ability to influence, negotiate and motivate and a collaborative style is essential to facilitate networks and manage relationships with faculties and professional services.

You will have excellent leadership skills and experience and will join the senior team of Associate Directors in Registry and Academic Affairs. You will be able to anticipate forces which shape student expectations and to design new approaches to assessment services.
