Monitor whole academy attendance daily with an aim to helping raise student achievement.
- Monitor registers, late students & students leaving for appointments in order that internal truancy is minimised & punctuality is promoted.
- Continue to raise whole academy profile towards attendance.
- Manage absence texting system and send out daily absence texts.
- Manage interventions where necessary and run school attendance panels & meetings.
- Promote positive attitudes towards attendance and ensure parents are made aware of their statutory responsibilities.
- Prepare weekly attendance reports.
- Manage half termly reporting to the LA.
- Manage the attendance tracker and weekly reporting.
- Respond to parental queries, concerns around attendance and challenge where necessary.
- Meet weekly with Head of Year/Pastoral
- Provide information to the LA in relation to Child Employment Permits and any attendance concerns.
- Compile weekly attendance data to ensure rewards are met.
- Complete registers electronically if staff are unable.
- Manage whole school admissions & in-year admission requests.
- Ensure MIS system is updated with regards to Admissions/Leavers
- Manage new student data on lnventry system.
- Manage new admission spreadsheet for the LA.
- Manage migration reports both for admissions & leavers and send to the LA within the stipulated legal timeframe.
- Manage the registration of CME cases direct to the LA.
- Manage CTF electronically between educational establishments.
- Manage student term-time holiday requests.
- Manage penalty notices for low attendance and/or unauthorised holidays.
- Manage court papers when penalty notices have failed.
- Complete school exclusion letters when admin staff are unable and ensure they are properly recorded and sent to the LA.
- Refer appropriate cases to the academy child protection co-ordinator I officer in
accordance with agreed academy procedures for all staff.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
- Meet with external agencies when necessary.
- Attend internal meetings when necessary.
CORE DUTIES:
- Contribute to the academy's ethos/work/aims.
- To be aware of the academy's duty of care in relation to staff, students and visitors and to comply with health & safety policies at all times.
- To be aware of and support difference and ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
- To be aware of and comply with the codes of conduct, regulations and policies of the academy and its commitment to equal opportunities.
- Be aware of any issues regarding confidentiality and to keep confidences as appropriate.
- Demonstrate an active commitment to their own professional development.
- Attend appropriate training and supervision where necessary.
Pay: £27,803.00 per year
