Central to our reputation is our Finance department who directly contribute to our growth in the UK mortgage market. As a result of this growth and to take us from strength to strength, we are delighted to be able to offer a new opportunity to join Stress Testing& Forecasting team.
The successful individual will join the Forecasting team within Finance, responsible for leading the design, development, documentation and implementation of forecasting and stress testing models, to meet regulatory and business requirements along with productionand analysis of the results, i.e. capital, provision and losses forecasts under various economic scenarios.
Moreover, the team gets involved in production of analysis and narrative to support the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) as well as testing the strategic plan against credit risk appetite. As part of this role you will be expected to buildstrong, working relationships within Finance & Credit Risk and present results to stakeholders by developing and delivering papers and presentations.
**About You**
In your current or previous roles you will have gained significant experience working with a high degree of autonomy in an analytical, but preferably modelling, environment ideally within Credit Risk or Finance.
Ideally you'll have experience of IFRS 9 ECL modelling and/or IRB capital, either from an actuals or forecasting perspective. You will be highly capable with a proactive and innovative approach, identifying opportunities and solutions that deliver incrementalbusiness benefit through the leveraging of data and analytics.
You will possess the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders, and excellent personal impact and influencing skills. The person we’re looking for will also prior experience working in a technical role and have a proven track record ofbeing able to communicate the results of their quantitative analysis in a clear and concise manner to a senior audience.
You'll be educated to degree level (or higher) with particular emphasis on a numerate discipline (ideally, statistics, finance or mathematics related) and be experienced in using statistical packages such as SAS or their equivalent as well as having advancedskills in using Microsoft Excel.Knowledge and experience of programming e.g. in SAS, SQL or VBA would therefore be essential.
