**About the role**
A key role wihtin our Finance Leadership Team (FLT) to develop and implement the overall Procurement strategy with a team of 2 to support you. As the business evolves, our external cost management becomes ever more important. You will be expected to drive improved governance and controls whilst at the same time proposing and delivering initiatives to enhance commercial terms and minimise risk.

Our focus is to fulfil the core aim of our Public Benefit purpose whilst protecting our income and expenditure across the organisation by ensuring best value for money.

**The essential bits**

You will be CIPS qualified with demonstrable experience of working in a leadership position within a procurement, commercial or contract management function. You will have previous experience working within partnering capacity working alongside commercial functions of a business, preferably within IT software, services, infrastructure or networking.

You will have experience of strategic supplier management in a complex and/or geographically dispersed organisation and a strong coaching style to people management.

**About you and your experience**

One of our values is ownership and this role is all about that You will be able to demonstrate previous responsibility for the development and maintenance of purchasing strategy to ensure best-practice procurement embedded in the organisation.

You will be comfortable in proactively challenging stakeholders whilst providing a prompt, efficient and personalised service to internal customers at all levels. It is key that you are a self-starter with a ‘can do/will do’ attitude who has the energy, drive and commitment to make things happen and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
