**What you’ll be doing**

A brand-new Project Coordinator position has come up in our Household Metering Team, Green Economic Recovery programme, which allows Thames Water to invest in new and innovative schemes to help deliver lasting environmental improvements for current and future generations, while meeting the economic and social challenges currently faced within the UK.

Being the Project Coordinator, you will be working closely with and supporting the Project Manager lead in the delivery and performance management of the Green Economic Recovery-led Smart Metering Programme installing 200,000+ digital meters. By assuring the smooth running of the project portfolio, organisation of key projects and assisting with organisation continuous improvement and the resolution of any project issues.

As the Project Coordinator in this position, it will be your responsibility for maintenance of key project materials, such as communications and project documentation. This will be critical in the event of you managing the resolution of technical project issues or disputes. You will be supporting with any change management processes and reacting to any improvement change markers, coordinating effectively with internal stakeholder groups.

**What you should bring to the role**

It is envisaged that the appointed Project Coordinator will be degree qualified or equivalent within a Civil engineering discipline or similar and would have a good appreciation of PMO principles or that of APM. You’ll be able to demonstrate previous experience within project planning and continuous improvement as well as having good problem-solving abilities.
- You’ll be a self-starting person, who is willing to further develop their knowledge within effective project management and project planning.
- Confident, in your planning and organisational skills, familiar with the use of MS Excel and or MS Project, Primavera 6 knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
- You’ll be an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal, comfortable in the use of MS office tools with willingness to learn new inhouse systems

This is a permanent position offering from £32,000 to £38,000 for the right knowledge and experience.
