Apna Virsa, a community organisation based in Slough, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Project and Operations Coordinator to support and enhance our projects around arts, culture, health, and wellbeing. This part-time role is essential in helping our team achieve our goals and positively impact the community.

**Overview & Purpose**:
The Project and Operations Coordinator will assist in managing and developing Apna Virsa’s projects, support volunteers, and ensure smooth operational processes. The role includes project management, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and administrative tasks, all geared towards promoting arts, culture, and wellbeing in the community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Development and Coordination**:*_
- Assist in planning, resourcing, and executing new and existing projects.
- Work closely with project leads to ensure projects are fully resourced, including volunteer help, marketing, IT support, and funding.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress and impact.
- Organize and coordinate outreach events, project displays, and community engagement activities.
- **Volunteer Support and Management**:*_
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to advertise and fulfill volunteer roles.
- Motivate and engage volunteers, ensuring they are supported and contributing effectively to projects.
- Lead and mentor project-specific staff and volunteers.
- **Fundraising and Financial Management**:*_
- Identify and develop fundraising opportunities, including events and community drives.
- Maintain relationships with funders and ensure regular updates and reports are provided.
- **Communication and Reporting**:*_
- Develop impactful messaging and marketing materials for projects.
- Coordinate project information and messaging with the Operations Team.
- Report on project activities and outcomes to the Operations Team and Trustees.
- Create original and engaging multi-media content across multiple social platforms

*_**General Operations**:*_
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Promote Apna Virsa’s values of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all activities.
- Undertake training as required and stay updated with organisational communications.

**Person Specification**:

- **Essential**:*_
- Proven experience in project management and development.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with volunteers and leading teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT proficiency, including MS Office, Google Suite, and digital tools like Canva.
- **Desirable**:*_
- Experience in fundraising and securing project funding.
- Familiarity with the arts, culture, health, and wellbeing sectors.
- Ability to speak Hindi/Punjabi/urdu.

**Practicalities**:

- Reports to the Operations Lead of Apna Virsa.
- Part-time role, 2 days a week.
- Some local travel may be required.
- Annual salary of £35,000 pro rata.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata) and statutory pension provision.
