**Hours per week**:22 hours per week Monday -Friday
Monday - 6 hours
Tuesday - 4 hours
Wednesday - 4 hours
Thursday - 4 hours
Friday - 4 hours
**Job summary**
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the practice. Duties can include but not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, scanning documents, read coding and completing tasks from other employees and registering new patients.
**Primary responsibilities**
- Maintain an update computerised medical records.
- Ensure that computerised medical records are updated daily by Read coding diagnosis and investigations.
- Scan all incoming hospital letters, hospital discharges, and any other patient correspondence onto computerised medical record.
- Distribute correspondence scanned in Docman amongst the practice doctors in line with practice procedure
- Provide administrative support for the partners.
- To answer telephone queries. Taking messages and passing on information
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers
- Assist in general office duties as required and directed by the Data & IT Manager.
- Attend staff meetings and training events in accordance with personal and practice development plans.
- Action GP2GP tasks
- Process requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms
- Process incoming e-test results, ensuring they are referred to the relevant clinician
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information
- The post holder will ensure that high quality administration for Safeguarding Children and Adults is in place and maintained.
- The post holder will liaise with the relevant Safeguarding Lead with any communications received that involve potential risks to child and adolescents (i.e. through domestic violence alerts or safeguarding alerts)
