To coordinate orientation of new staff To promote reflective practice, clinical supervision and experiential learning opportunities developing a learning culture in the clinical environment. To contribute towards the development and maintenance of clinical staff competence in the use of medical equipment in the clinical area, in order to comply with the Trusts health and safety policy. To be a visible role model to ensure that the dignity, rights and confidentiality of the patient and individual team members are protected and maintained in accordance with national standards and guidelines To plan, prepare and maintain materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience To plan, prepare and maintain materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience To maximise opportunities for training and educational input.

To work with staff to ensure that planned patient care is delivered, evaluated and changes implemented as required. To participate in the development of all patient care policies and procedures and clinical audit. Contribute to clinical guidelines and protocols where appropriate
