Do you want a career with growth, progression and empowerment? There has never been a more exciting time to join our Reproductive Health team as we expand our Gynaecology service. Exciting estates developments at the City Campus site means Gynaecology has been given the opportunity to have a designated ward. This means;

- A good working environment for staff
- A highly skilled and talented multidisciplinary workforce, which will provide excellent guidance, support and training
- Part of a service that is striving towards implementing a NUH Women’s Health Strategy

We’re looking for compassionate, ambitious, and forward thinking people to join our team. With so many opportunities for self-development and progression we need people who want to learn and inspire others. We need people who have a voice and want to use it to drive positive change and people who love a challenge and want to be part of transformation.

Your skills and talents as a nurse will help ensure the women of Nottinghamshire receive the unparalleled quality care they deserve and in return, you’ll find a rewarding career full of opportunity and open doors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Clinical Educator.

Working with a vision of “delivering excellence in all everything we do”, the post holder will be based within the new Speciality/Elective Gynaecology Ward

The Clinical Nurse Educator works closely with the Ward Managers, Matron, Quality Risk & Safety Lead and Practice Development Matron to improve and shape the education, knowledge and clinical competence of all grades.

The post holder will be a proactive role model who leads in the clinical environment on the provision of clinical education and assessment of competence in women requiring gynaecological care.

The post holder will:

- Work alongside nurses and other healthcare practitioners to ensure the provision of high quality safe and effective evidence-based care; in accordance with local, divisional and hospital policies and procedures
- Assist in identifying and defining areas for improvement and develop targeted teaching and learning activities to facilitate improvement
- Develop and deliver training and educational programmes and optimise learning activities for practitioners
- Ensure that the organisation has an accurate record of a practitioner's learning

You will ensure delivery of person centred, compassionate care is at the centre of the specialty. It is expected that you will spend 50% of your time in clinical practice in a supervisory capacity supporting new starters, international nurses and healthcare assistants whilst working alongside nursing staff providing clinical care to develop their knowledge and skills.

Working for our organisation
