This role is situated in the Navy Command's People & Training Directorate.

The Sub-Portfolio Office (SPFO) is the hub of the governance and coordination of all of People and Training programmes and projects, ensuring that the benefits are realised to Enable Productivity and Improve the Lived Experience. It also provides coherence and assurance for BAU activity to ensure the Directorates outputs are aligned to Priorities and Strategy.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
This post will take the lead for the adoption of Jira to the required level across the Directorate, identifying prioritised business areas for rollout. Additionally, managing Jira’s delivery timeline and approach, engaging with our people, designing and delivering workshops/community of interest forums.

The role will undertake the relevant training to become an effective Agile Scrum Master and will liaise with the Agile COE to ensure Best Practice is championed across the directorate.

This role will set up appropriate touch points to provide assurance to Director People & Training and the People & Training Management Board and provide performance and management information. They will take ownership of, act as scrum master for, and manage the processes for this activity.

The post will also work with the Navy Performance Group to understand the requirements for the Performance & Delivery Review in relation to quarterly milestones held in Jira.

The post will actively identify and record any requirements for Digital, Infra, Training, Finance & Culture and ensure that these are effectively communicated, tracked and managed to completion.

The post holder should be experienced in P3M and Agile Methodologies to enable flexibility of resource management across the Sub-Portfolio.

This role will also provide additional flexibility to the Directorate by supporting prioritised activities and objectives as required.

This role has Line Management responsibility for 2 HEOs.
