**Medical Secretary**

**£10.47 per hour**

**Duration: June 2023**

**37.5 hours per week**

**Central Bristol - own vehicle required**

As a core member of the site administration team, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient, professional, and effective secretarial and administrative support to the site, with a specific focus on the full Medical team. Your responsibilities will involve a wide range of administrative tasks, including typing, minute taking, telephone inquiries, diary and appointment management, correspondence management, and meeting and greeting visitors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide efficient and effective administrative support, primarily to the medical team, including typing, minute taking, handling telephone inquiries, managing diaries and appointments, managing correspondence, and other administrative tasks as required.- Provide cross cover within specified Medical Secretaries teams as assigned by your line manager.- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to patients, ensuring a positive customer experience.- Accurately record Independent Consultant time to facilitate appropriate invoicing controls for the hospital.- Organise diaries and patient appointments directly with patients and Consultants, ensuring the highest level of service to patients.- Liaise with Inpatient regarding admissions, discharges, follow-up arrangements, and multi-agency meetings.- Prioritise enquiries, issues, and callers to ensure the highest level of service is always maintained.- Promptly update patient details and records, ensuring data accuracy.- Safely store and archive medical records in accordance with company and local procedures.- Continually seek process improvements to enhance hospital efficiency.- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all departments.- Provide cover and support to the wider team and site when required.**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.- Passion for delivering high-quality service in a medical setting.- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.- High level of confidentiality and integrity.- Experience in an administrative, customer service, clinical, or related field is preferred
