**Overview**

The Judicial Office (JO) is looking for a professional HEO for its campaigns, insight and evaluation role. The postholder will support a campaign function that provides communications advice to reach senior leaders and staff across the organisation and externally for the general public. The job holder will also lead on engaging with a range of internal and external partners to understand their contributions to shared objectives and will lead on analysis and evaluation of the communications strategy.

**The Judicial Office**

The Judicial Office (JO) reports to, and is accountable, to the Lady Chief Justice (LCJ) and was established in 2006 to provide support to her and to the wider judiciary following the Constitutional Reform Act 2005. In addition, we support, and are accountable to, the Senior President of Tribunals, whose responsibilities extend to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It delivers a wide range of functions for the senior judiciary and to more than 20,000 judicial office holders including legal and policy advice, communications, international, training (through the Judicial College), human resources, welfare, library and information services. Through the independent Judicial Conduct Investigations Office, we deal with complaints about the conduct of judicial officeholders. The Judicial Office also provides support to the Chief Coroner and to the Judge Advocate General and supports the Lord Chancellor on certain of his judiciary-related functions.

The JO is an interesting and unique place to work. Everything we do is in support of upholding the independence and impartiality of the judiciary. We work closely with HMCTS, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and others across Government as well as with the legal professions.

**The role**

The Judicial Office has an exciting vacancy for a Campaigns Advisor in the Communications team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and talented communications professional to work on high-profile campaigns which deliver the LCJ’s key priorities.

The Campaigns Advisor role offers the opportunity to deliver first class communications and campaigns to influence behaviour and help demonstrate the value of the rule of law and shape the perceptions about this.

The role is ideal for a proactive, analytical and creative communications professional with campaigns experience who is passionate about delivering insight-led communications.

**Key responsibilities**
- Support the planning and implementation of detailed insight-led communication campaigns for external and internal audiences.
- Manage campaigns to deadline, focusing on delivering campaign objectives.
- Work with the Head of Campaigns and to partner with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-government, to deliver communications.
- Use insights to identify risks and opportunities for communications.
- Work with other team members to evaluate and report campaign progress and outcomes, and wider communications activity where required.
- Support the Head of Communications in delivering the monthly finance reporting

**Skills, experience and attributes**
- Proven communication skills and at least one year of communications experience
- Strong written skills and sharp attention to detail with the ability to get to grips with complex issues
- Creativity and keenness to develop and deliver innovative, low and no cost external communication campaigns, using digital and offline channels
- Proactive, with good organisational and planning skills
- Understanding of insight, data and evaluation to measure and inform communications outcomes and a keenness to act on results to improve future activity
- The ability to predict potential risks and respond positively and quickly to emerging issues
