Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager you will provide Quality support to our Rail customers and drive “right first time” business ethos through inspection and facilitation to address current standards. There will be a requirement as part of the role to travel a couple of times a week to our Rail customers in the North of the UK.

**What you’ll do**:

- Promote and develop a positive quality culture, going beyond compliance to achieve excellence.
- Analyse and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
- Collect and analyse process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost.
- Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes
- Develop policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations.
- Develop, assure and maintain the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 family of standards), quality audits/review.

**Who you are**:
You will come from a Quality background with experience of some or all of the** **following;** **benchmarking, business process analysis, inspection and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems of the requirements of ISO 9001, RISQS.

Key Requirements:

- Internal audit qualifications (but training can be given)
- Conversant in quality processes & standards
- Good communicator with an ability to engage with the workforce on site
- Heavy Rail experience, ideally along with civils or asset management experience
- Designated industry, professional or Field Quality experience.
