An opportunity has arisen for a purchasing / quotation assistant in a growing, forward thinking IT consultancy. This opportunity is to take control of the completion of purchasing and quotations. You will be pricing equipment and services from a pre-existing set of prices, the maintenance of which will be part of the roles responsibility.

On a daily basis you will be assisting the Operations Manager / Head of Account Management with the following key responsibilities and accountabilities;
- Receiving technical specifications of PC’s, and other IT hardware for quotation purposes.
- Assisting the technical specialist in the forwarding of relations with suppliers.
- Producing quotes for the sales team in a timely and prudent manner.
- Discussion with technical department queries with the solutions.
- Awareness of profit margin and ensuring these are maintained.
- Liaising with account managers to adjust quotes according to requirement.

**Required Abilities**

Maintaining spreadsheets and liaising with different departments. An understanding of IT and technology would be preferable

There will be some statistics to be kept, so a good understanding of Excel, including the production of graphs will be required and attention to detail will be paramount.

It would be preferable if the successful applicant was educated to degree level or has at least two years’ experience in a similar role, but this is not essential.

You will be a good communicator with good initiative, will be career driven with a desire to succeed bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.
