**Verovian Social Work Recruitment Agenc**y is actively recruiting dedicated professionals for the role of Adult Social Worker in Sheffield. As an integral member of the **Learning Disability team**, you will be instrumental in assessing the needs of individuals with disabilities, creating personalised care plans, and organising support services to enrich their lives.

We are looking for individuals who are ready to challenge norms and champion independence and autonomy using a strength-based, person-centred approach. This position initially offers a temporary opportunity of **12 months** with the potential for long-term employment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute various tasks, including the investigation of adult safeguarding issues, conducting need assessments, analyzing and planning, assessing and managing risk, commissioning support, and conducting reviews.
- Identify and responsibly report safeguarding concerns related to both children and adults, collaborating with key agencies to gather information and serving as an investigating officer when delegated.
- Utilize legal interventions and departmental policies and procedures to support outcome-based planning for adults.
- Engage directly with adults in need, as well as their carers, families, and communities, fostering an environment that enables individuals to make informed decisions and choices. Empower them to express their needs and actively participate in the decision-making process.
- Collaborate with partner agencies, adults in need, and their respective support networks to facilitate the establishment of community support systems, promoting independence for as long as possible.
- Maintain meticulous case records and present reports to panels and courts as deemed appropriate.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a social work role.
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Must be registered with SWE (Social Work England).
- Proof of Address.
- Safeguarding Certificate.
