At Sheffield City Council, we are committed to providing exceptional services to our children and young people. As an Assistant Director in our Children and Families service, you will be part of a senior leadership team that models a clear child-focus.

We are looking for a qualified registered social worker with substantial experience in managing children's social care and working in partnership with multi-agency services. You will lead by example, developing integrated services with partners based on the voice and experience of children.

You will have a deep knowledge and understanding of all safeguarding issues and legislation, and be an excellent, supportive leader who looks after staff wellbeing and development. Your ability to motivate employees through change and improvement is essential.

As a senior leader in Sheffield, you will be responsible for effectively managing resources to ensure that children and young people at risk receive the help and support they need. The salary for this role is £60,000 - £70,000 per annum. Full-time Directors work a nominal 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about flexible working opportunities that benefit both you and the council.
