About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Practice Development Team at Sheffield City Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting Occupational Therapy staff to develop best practice approaches that reflect the voice of our customers and maintain professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of key elements of our Sheffield Workforce Development Strategy with a focus on Occupational Therapy practice and workforce planning.
  • Providing practice development support to services across all Adults Care and Wellbeing services in relation to Occupational Therapy models, proportionate approaches to care, and person-centred practice.
  • Identifying practice trends across Adults Care and Wellbeing, locally and nationally, using research and evidence to inform priorities and design initiatives to improve practice and address specific issues or concerns.
  • Managing the drafting, production, communication, implementation, and review of policy and practice guidance, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
  • Line management of staff within the Practice Development team and managing other team members as required.
