Deputy Screening Coordinator

You must be able to work independently whilst remaining under the supervision of the ANNB Screening Coordinator, have a good understanding of the antenatal and newborn screening pathways and have a basic knowledge and skill using Microsoft packages, i.e. word and excel
You must have good knowledge of the national ANNB screening programmes as well as the passion and drive to sustain change to meet both local and national screening standards, ensuring birthing people and their families are at the centre of care.
The position requires you to work under the direct supervision of the ANNB Screening Coordinator to implement and manage the ANNB Screening pathways.

Work under the direct supervision of the ANNB Screening Coordinator to:
- Oversee and facilitate the provision of all recommended ANNB screening tests as specified within the Public Health National Screening Committee programmes and the Antenatal Care NICE guidelines.
- Oversee and facilitate the provision of care pathway for women and babies who are found to be screen positive
- To develop services and care pathways, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, for ANNB screening programmes that are not meeting the ANNB screening standards.
- To provide updates and training to midwives and support staff regarding ANNB screening.
The post-holder will provide clinical expertise, professional direction and participate in audit and the delivery of training sessions.
The post requires effective communication and the post holder will also provide daily clinical and managerial leadership to midwifery and support staff in the delivery of evidence based client centred care.
The post-holder will be required to participate in their continuing professional development and other development activities and have completed a preceptorship programme covering all shifts and on call commitments as required by the service
This post is not suitable for newly qualified midwives or international midwives who have not completed their OSCE.
