The Transformation Project Manager will coordinate and manage multiple project activities to support the delivery of specific aspects of the transformation strategy including the integration of the single hospital clinical services, operational excellence programmes and building capability for improvement across MFT hospitals/MCS and partner organisations as required.

The post holder will have a sound working knowledge of, and expertise in using an established programme / quality improvement approaches and methodologies.

Demonstrable experience of producing complex project plans, quality assurance and project documentation - including experience in key software programmes such as Microsoft Excel. Numerate with the ability to interpret and produce complex reports.

Demonstrable experience of generating and quality assuring programme reports.

An awareness of the political sensitivity of the Single Hospital Service programme and the GM sector.

Demonstrable experience of working at all levels of an organisation with strong evidence of influencing skills and relationship management

Accountable for planning, structuring, and executing high risk and complex projects.

Responsible for leading the team for a specific project including project support and administrative staff.

Support the Head of Delivery to lead on the programme management office set up, including the development of all key project documentation.

Plan the programme and monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and escalating any risks or issues, initiating corrective action as appropriate.

Ensure the delivery of programme workstreams from the projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan.

Identify and remove any blockages/bottlenecks that pose significant constraints to the programme’s ability to meet the programme plan, targets and the wider GM sector objectives.

Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme.

Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and initiating corrective action where required.

Manage the risks to the programme’s successful outcome.

Develop a programme reporting system which can be used as an internal and external tool for reporting.

Work with the Delivery Manager to develop and manage risk management process for the project.
