2fawcett are recruiting for a Parts Coordinator to join a global manufacturing business in Alfreton. As the Parts Coordinator you will be responsible for the purchasing of parts and spares for the maintenance department whilst maintaining the required level of part quality at the best price.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Part rationalization
- Parts / spares profiling
- Organise stores areas into a safe, secure, and orderly system
- Raise purchase orders in accordance with current procedures
- Sourcing OEM conversion parts
- Manage supplier contacts database
- Negotiating prices and discounts with suppliers
- Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
- Administration and filing of paperwork systems
- Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced
- Prepare PPM kits of parts to planned schedule
- Maintain stock accuracy above 98%
- Maintain Min / Max stock levels at all times
- Stay within budget levels
- Keep records of spend by asset
- Organise part refurbishment, repair, and overhaul where possible
- Receive in all parts / spares into stock after checking for damage
**About you**:
- A minimum of two years in a similar role
- Use of a CMMS is essential
- Identification and good knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts
- Well organised and focused on service delivery
- Good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous
- Passion and enthusiasm for making things better
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multi-task
- Self-motivated
