Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

**Position**:
We are expanding our team and recruiting for a **Customs Export Coordinator** who will support the business in its requirements for customs activities and compliance.

The primary focus of this role will be to ensure accuracy of data sent to customs authorities in UK and other global locations, related to stock movements, accuracy and creation of commercial documents and proficiency in filing of export and import documentation from multiple sources.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Preparation of commercial documents required for international shipments
- Receiving commercial documents and keeping a robust filing system
- Communicating with key stakeholders ensuring flow of goods across international borders
- Understanding preferential duty rates and the related preference schemes
- Using inhouse software to submit customs entries
- Approving and organising outbound shipments
- Facilitating accurate customs clearance in destination countries
- Supporting the wider team with other customs related tasks

**Requirements**:
To join us you must have:
**Essential**:

- Strong administration background
- Intermediate level skills with MS Excel (Pivot tables and Lookups)
- Previous experience of import/export processes
- Drive to make process improvements, challenge and change current ways of working
- Excellent communication skills at all levels

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in analysing data within customs declarations
- Knowledge of Navision or similar system
- International Trade or equivalent qualifications
- Organised, structured & methodical with a desire to deliver continual improvements
- Previous experience in an export focussed role
